Even you already save your picture. But when you open your mobile gallery. You found no picture. Sometime there may be problem in your mobile. You can face this problem due to many reasons. Fixing this issue is not too hard task. In this article I will tell you how to fix disappeared pictures in gallery in Samsung Galaxy S7 and other android mobiles.
Where Gallery Images Stored?
First we need to know where gallery images are stored? Whenever we take picture, it will show in gallery. Everyone opens gallery to see these pictures. But you know there is a place in every mobile where these photos are stored? It always stored in same location. It stored in DCIM (Digital Camera Images). Here is its path:
- /storage/emmc/DCIM – if the images are on the phone memory.
- /storage/sdcard0/DCIM – if they are on memory card.
Now, here are some solutions to fix this problem:
Restart Your Mobile Phone:
The simplest solution to fix this is to restart your mobile. There is possibility this error is fixed due to restart. After restarting android system will reboot. It scan everything on your mobile. And you can able to see your pictures.
Install Gallery Alternative App:
If restarting mobile fails, you can install alternative app to gallery. This may show you you’re your images. Here gallery alternative app means app which works same like as gallery. QuickPic is good alternative to gallery app. It is easy to use. You can use it same as your gallery app.
Recover Deleted Photos:
Sometimes photos are deleted accidently. Or sometime you delete them because they take space in your mobile. It’s a big problem to recover them for you. Most of the people don’t get any solution. Unluckily, android does not give the option to backup your photos and videos. Due to which user search many type of softwares or apps and use them to recover images. Most of the time they failed to recover their photos. But here I am writing a simple method by which you can restore deleted photos from your Samsung Galaxy S7 or any other android.
- Search Where The Photos Are Stored:
First thing that you will have to do is find the path where you stored your images before the deletion. You must know whether they are saved in internal memory or in SD card. If possible you must know the images type like jpge, png etc.
- Install DiskDigger On Android:
DiskDigger is a data recovery utility. It is available for both Desktop and Mobile. It is available in free and paid version. Its android version is not hard to find. You can search DiskDigger on Google Play Store. The interesting thing is that you don’t need to root your mobile if you are recovering photos. It does not require any root privilages in free version in recovering photos.
- First of all install DiskDigger App from Google Play Store.
- Click “Allow” to give access to file system
- Choose “Start Basic Photo Scan” if your mobile is not rooted. And if mobile is rooted choose “Full Scan (Root Required)”.
- Now scanning process starts. It shows all files. Filter files on clicking on Settings”.

After this select the photos which you want to recover. And tap on “Recover”
This app gives you 3 option to save:
- Send to an app
- Save to specific location
- Send to FTP
Tap on the option as your need. Your photos are recovered.
